Which 'Dancing With The Stars: Juniors' Team Will Be Eliminated Next?
By Lauren Dubois, International Business Times
Week 2 saw a pair that had the potential to make it further in the “Dancing With the Stars: Juniors” competition eliminated. Now, following Hudson West and Kameron Couch’s ouster from the ABC competition, a third team will be set to say goodbye.
The pint-sized teams hopefully did their best to impress both the judges and live studio audience for Disney night, but one still had to go home at the end of the night. Based on performances from previous weeks, a few teams seem more likely than the others to be the next ones to hang up their dancing shoes.
Based solely on the judge’s scores, the team that seems most at risk of elimination would be Team Artem, consisting of Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and Tristan Ianiero. The pair were at the bottom of the leaderboard after their Cha Cha, only earning 19 points out of a possible 30. Low scores don’t always bode well for a pair, though she could be saved from elimination in Week 3 if there are enough members of the audience who opt to vote for her. If that would lead to her being saved, then another team would see themselves knocked out of the competition as a result.
In that case, when it comes to scores, Sophia Pippen and Jake Monreal, a.k.a. Team Sasha, could be at risk. They were only one point ahead of Honey Boo Boo and Tristan when it came to their judge’s scores in Week 2, and the audience may not have as much support for her. Honey Boo Boo has a built-in fan base that may have attended the taping, where much of the base for Sophia may be fans of her father, Scottie. Since he isn’t the one dancing, it could mean she’ll find herself at risk of elimination.
Jason Maybaum and Elliana Walmsley, Team Emma, could also be at risk. While they performed much better with the judges during week 2, scoring 21 points for their Jive, they still scored lower than the other teams for the second week in a row. If they continue to fail to impress enough to break out ahead of their competitors, they won’t be long for the competition.
