MTV is developing a reboot of young adult drama Undressed with series creator Roland Joffe.
Joffe, who also executive produced the original Undressed, is returning to executive produce the reboot which is currently in development at MTV Studios.
MTV Studios was formed in June to develop revivals based on the network's classic programs, such as Daria and The Real World.
Undressed, which aired for more than 200 episodes from 1999 to 2002, explored complicated young adult relationships. Christina Hendricks, Jason Ritter, Max Greenfield, Brandon Routh and Chad Michael Murray starred on the series which helped launch their careers, alongside writers Damon Lindelof, Lizzy Weiss and Steven S. DeKnight.
The original show won a GLAAD Award for being one of the only programs at the time to feature gay, lesbian and bisexual characters, along with same-sex relationships.
"Undressed was ahead of its time and we're looking forward to developing the series for a whole new generation," head of scripted programming for MTV Studios, MTV, VH1 and Logo Pamela Post said in a statement. "Much has changed in the dating/relationship world since the series first premiered and we're excited to showcase how both have evolved."
